Avatar The Last Airbender What is Sozin’s Comet

In the gripping final episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender, a big fight is set up between Fire Lord Ozai and Avatar Aang. The ending scene brings a big threat called Sozin’s Comet.

This Netflix live-action series  Avatar: The Last Airbender follows Aang’s journey to prevent the Fire Nation’s rule. He travels to the Northern Water Tribe along with his new friends Katara and Sokka. They meet new friends, and enemies, and learn about past Avatars.

In the last episode, Admiral Zhao attacks the North Pole with the Fire Nation. He wants to be Fire Lord so bad that he does something really bad. He kills the Moon Spirit, which makes water-bending stop working.

To fix things, Aang joins with the Ocean Spirit. Princess Yue sacrifices herself to bring back the Moon Spirit, restoring water-bending and balance.

The Fire Nation loses the battle. Uncle Iroh stops Zhao, and Ozai retreats with Zuko to plan their next move.

In the Netflix show, Katara plays a bigger role in the fight. She talks to Aang about coming back to them, hinting at a romance.

After the credits, Ozai talks about Sozin’s Comet coming back. It’s a dangerous thing because it makes fire-benders super powerful and is a big threat to the world.

Sozin’s Comet also serves as the name of the original four-part series, featuring a significant combat between Aang and Ozai.

We don’t know if the second season of the series will include Sozin’s Comet since there are still many stories to tell.

Aang still needs to learn water-bending and earth-bending. We might see more of Azula, Zuko’s sister, causing trouble. Toph, a new character, might also show up. And we could learn more about Sozin’s Comet and its impact.
