Beyoncé’s Heartfelt Tribute to the Legendary Tina Turner

When legendary singer Tina Turner died at the age of 83 following a protracted illness, the world mourned her loss together. Turner died in her home in Kusnacht, Switzerland (close to Zurich), according to a statement released by her spokesperson. Turner, whose career spanned over six decades and included such chart-topping classics as “Proud Mary” and “The Best,” was honored with eight Grammy Awards and a star on both the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the St. Louis Walk of Fame.

Even music legend Diana Ross was devastated by the news of Turner’s death. Ross took to Twitter to express her sorrow at the loss of Turner and share a touching photo of the two of them performing together alongside her words of condolence. It was clear from the tweet how much Ross cared for and respected her fellow music great.

Beyoncé, another modern music icon, posted a touching tribute to Turner on her website. She called Turner “her queen” and thanked her endlessly for being an inspiration and for the opportunities she created. Adams closed his homage by capturing Turner’s tremendous effect on his life by referencing their 1984 joint song, “It’s Only Love.”
