Marvelites get ready to witness Thanos’s power in the new Marvel mini-series this November.
An enthralling four-issue mini-series is set to exhilarate every comic-loving soul. Chris Cantwell, renowned for boosting the bar of Marvel’s villains through works like Invincible Iron Man and Doctor Doom, takes the pen to write this exceptional series.
Collaborating with him is esteemed comic artist Lucas Pizzari, known for his recent contribution to X-Men: Before the Fall — Heralds of Apocalypse #1.
Plot of Thanos Mini Comic Series
Prepare for an epic showdown in this mini-series, where Thanos clashes with the Illuminati. Where Thanos heads toward Earth from the cosmic abyss to embark on his most fearless conquest yet. Only a new member of the Illuminati can calm his intense anger. Led by Mr. Fantastic, Doctor Strange, and Iron Man, who operates from the shadows is supported by new members Emma Frost and Blue Marvel.
This strong and powerful alliance of the Illuminati reveals a world-shaking secret, burning up Thanos’ fiercest fury. The overall concept is about THANOS VS. THE ILLUMINATI! The Mad Titan comes to Earth to reclaim a lost item, while Illuminati unites against Thanos to stop his actions as they are the ones who hid it from him.
What Chris Cantwell Has to Say About Thanos Mini Comic Series Featuring Illuminati
In a press release, Chris Cantwell shared his excitement, stating, “I’ve had the honor and joy of writing some of Marvel’s greatest villains, so you can imagine how excited I am to not only tackle the Mad Titan himself but pit him against some of the most powerful brains and fists out there—this latest lineup of the Illuminati. But I think folks will find the backdrop of this story quite unexpected, mischievously funny, and heartbreakingly human, for what has drawn Thanos back screaming into the universe is a singular pain and desire for connection that he believes only one essence in existence (and non-existence) can give him… while this being is, in turn, grappling with some deeper questions about what they are, and what they want to be. Plus, Thanos hot-wires a pickup truck.”
Meanwhile, comic Artist Pizzari shared, “I could tell right from reading the first-panel description that this book was gonna be something else. I never even met Chris before and yet it’s like he wrote this book reading my mind; there are a lot of characters I’ve always wanted to try my hand on. Thanos himself is, of course, unbelievably fun to draw, I’m constantly telling myself to make him bigger and bigger!”
So get ready to grab Thanos #1 on the 8th of November 2023, where Leinil Francis Yu masterfully crafted its main cover and its Homage Variant comes to life through the artistry of Phil Noto.
