When asked about the speculation, Lillard unexpectedly named the Miami Heat and the Brooklyn Nets as two potential destinations for a trade. In the interview, Lillard talked about how much he wants to play with his pals and how much he likes the rosters for both the Heat and the Nets.
There’s something irresistible about the thought of Lillard teaming up with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo on the Miami Heat. It would be very difficult for opponents to contain such a dangerous combination. The Brooklyn Nets, on the other side, have a lot going for them after trading for Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in the middle of the season. They have enough draft capital to chase another superstar player while putting together a package worthy of acquiring Lillard.
It’s an intriguing time to follow the Trail Blazers, what with all the rumors about possible trades. Whether by dealing Damian Lillard or using a premium draft pick, they might make a major move.
