The newest image of Emma Stone, from the set of her next film Poor Things, has fans buzzing. The actress’ long, raven-colored hair and bright yellow tunic make her practically unrecognizable in the shot. She looks so much like the singer Lorde that her fans can’t help but compare the two. In Yorgos Lanthimos’ historical drama Poor Things, in which Stone stars, the protagonist, Bella, is brought back to life by a doctor who implants the brain of her unborn child. She eventually escapes from her kidnapper with the help of a lawyer (Mark Ruffalo). The film also stars Ramy Youssef, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Christopher Abbott, and Jerrod Carmichael with Stone. Fans eager to see Stone’s new look in the film shouldn’t get their hopes up for a permanent change; she was spotted at South by Southwest with her signature red hair. The original and engaging narrative of Poor Things, starring Stone, will be released in cinemas on September 8.
