According to reports, Miley Cyrus will not be returning as Mainframe in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, rather the part will be filled by another MCU actor. The role of the artificial intelligence in the new film will be played by Tara Strong, well known for her voice acting job as Miss Minutes in the Loki films. As can be seen in the promotional materials for the film, Mainframe plays an important role in the Guardians’ adventure, and her return is directly related to the return of her team. Krugarr, Aleta Ogord (Michelle Yeoh), Mainframe (Sylvester Stallone), Martinex T’Naga (Michael Rosenbaum), Charlie-27 (Ving Rhames), and Stakar Ogord (Sylvester Stallone) will all appear in the upcoming film. Yondu, played by Michael Rooker, will not be joining the team this time. Some of the iconic characters played by the film’s actors will be seen for the last time in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, as director James Gunn has moved on to DC. The Marvel Cinematic Universe, though, is enormous, so new Guardians of the Galaxy can always appear. Even though current version of the club is ending, the prospects for the fan-favorite are exciting.
