Rapper Rick Ross is well-known for receiving lavish presents from friends and admirers when he is not appearing on The Equalizer revival or causing a commotion in the wrestling ring. The rapper Gunplay has recently given him a gold chain, which has caused some consternation among hip-hop enthusiasts.

Rick Ross and Gunplay, whose real name is Richard Morales Jr., have known one other since forming the rap duo Triple C’s in 1997. Ross gave Gunplay his first major break by releasing his first solo album. Gunplay, moved by gratitude for Ross’s help in the past, buys him an expensive piece of jewelry—a thick diamond Cuban link with a pendant reading ‘ANML SHLTR’—as a token of his appreciation.

Fans are perplexed by Gunplay’s show of affluence, given that he recently set up a GoFundMe to help pay for his sick daughter’s medical expenses. His pricey present to Ross raises problems in light of his apparent financial plea.

DJ Envy may have been the impetus for Gunplay’s generosity. DJ Envy criticized Rick Ross on The Breakfast Club for not contributing to Gunplay’s music. Gunplay’s retaliation consisted of a recorded phone call featuring DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God, and Gunplay in which Gunplay threatened Envy. Gunplay may have felt compelled to show his connection with Ross by purchasing an expensive gift for him after hearing DJ Envy stress the necessity of supporting one’s loved ones in the wake of the tragedy.

Although Gunplay’s reasoning may not be completely sound, he has a history of making questionable choices, such as getting a swastika tattoo. They may not always follow the norms of public behavior, as is the case with many famous people.

This incident adds further mystery to the intricate web of hip-hop relationships while also raising issues of loyalty, fiscal responsibility, and flaunting one’s money.
