Hugh Jackman, best known as Wolverine, celebrated his 55th birthday on October 12th. Even though the SAG strike has paused the production of Deadpool 3 Jackman spent his birthday with his co-star Ryan Reynolds and Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively. According to People, the three of them were seen taking a walk together in New York.
Hugh Jackman took to Instagram to thank his fans for their heartfelt birthday wishes. He mentioned that he was reading the messages and watching special videos that made him feel deeply touched.
To celebrate his birthday, Jackman had a meal with his family and close friends including his estranged wife Deborra-Lee Furness as reported by Page Six.
Hugh Jackman’s Role as Wolverine
Hugh Jackman is well-known for his iconic role as Wolverine which required rigorous physical training to transform his body into the character. He once shared a throwback photo from his days as Wolverine humorously remarking that he looked like he was in “serious pain.”
In a recent interview with The Guardian, Jackman talked about his return as Wolverine in Deadpool 3 and the comical reason for working with Ryan Reynolds.
Although he had initially moved on from the role Jackman expressed his eagerness to reprise it saying “I just wanted to do it and I felt it in my gut … I get to punch the sh*t out of Ryan Reynolds every day.”
What to Expect from Deadpool 3
Deadpool 3 directed by Shawn Levy and written by Wendy Molyneaux, Lizzie Molyneaux-Loeglin, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick has a mysterious script.
The film is expected to star Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al Karan Soni as Dopinder Stefan Kapičić as Piotr Rasputin/Colossus and Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen in undisclosed roles.

Deadpool 3 is currently scheduled for release on May 3 2024 and fans eagerly await more updates about the film.
