Prepare yourselves, moviegoers! Killers of the Flower Moon, Martin Scorsese’s long-awaited crime drama, will hit theaters on October 12th. The initial release date for the picture is slated for October 6, 2023, with a wider rollout beginning on the 20th. Killers of the Flower Moon will be made accessible for streaming worldwide on Apple TV+ for those who would rather watch it in the comfort of their own homes.

This riveting real crime drama is based on David Grann’s nonfiction book Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI, which details a string of murders that occurred in the Osage Nation in the 1920s, shortly after oil was discovered on tribe grounds. Jesse Plemons’s Tom White, a veteran Texas Ranger, and the young J. Edgar Hoover became interested in the case.

The film’s stellar ensemble, though, is what truly sets it apart. The film stars Robert De Niro as Ernest Burkhart’s uncle, American cattleman and convicted murderer William Hale, and Leonardo DiCaprio as the titular character. Brendan Fraser, a recent Oscar winner, leads an ensemble cast that also includes Lily Gladstone, Tantoo Cardinal, Jack White, and John Lithgow, all of whom are excellent in their own right.

Killers of the Flower Moon is, without a doubt, one of the most anticipated movies of the past few years. A dramatic story brought to life by an equally gifted cast under the direction of Martin Scorsese promises to be an unforgettable cinematic experience. Be sure to put this day on your calendars so you may experience a fascinating time in American history.
