Oprah Winfrey has reportedly made an off-market deal to sell a portion of her Montecito property for $14.3 million, according to Siteline Santa Barbara. The buyer of the real estate is said to be movie producer-director Rawson Marshall Thurber, known for directing the most-watched movie on Netflix, Red Notice, and the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons series on Paramount+.
The 3,000 square feet ranch style home has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a manicured lawn, swimming pool, and tennis court, and sits on five-and-a-half acres of land. The property is situated in the Hedgerow area of Montecito, a lush section where other celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres and Ariana Grande have also owned property.
While pictures of the home’s interior are not publicly available, it is said to be surrounded by tall hedges and trees, providing ample privacy. Winfrey had purchased the estate in 2005 for $7 million. With this sale, Thurber becomes Winfrey’s new neighbor in the sought-after Montecito community.
