We can’t say we’re complaining, but Pete Davidson seems to be making headlines everywhere these days. The SNL star has been keeping busy recently, with the premiere of his semi-autobiographical program Bupkis on May 4 and news that he appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Despite the fact that the film’s director, James Gunn, cautions us to keep an eye out for him in the picture! Pete Davidson has previously made an appearance in a superhero film. He played Blackguard in a minor capacity in DC’s Suicide Squad. It’s noteworthy that he has now been on screen in both the Marvel and DC realms. We are left to wonder if this portends that he will play a larger part in one of the franchises in the future. We have to take into account whether Davidson’s hectic schedule will allow him to do more than just a cameo in films like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 despite the fact that he is more than capable of taking on a starring role. He has already worked on a number of films, including The Home, Dumb Money, and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, all of which are either in post-production or are scheduled for release. There is definitely a chance to give Davidson a bigger position in either of the properties now that Gunn is leaving Marvel and working on the new DCU. But for the time being, all we can do is wait and hope for the star to make more appearances. After all, his work on The King of Staten Island demonstrated that he is more than capable of managing several projects at once. No matter what lies ahead, we’ll always be eager to watch what Pete Davidson accomplishes next.
