After filming wrapped on “Game of Thrones,” Peter Dinklage, well known for playing Tyrion Lannister, wanted a vacation from the fantasy world of dragons and epic battles he had helped create on the show. The 53-year-old actor said he needed time away from the Westeros realm before seeing the spin-off prequel series, “House of the Dragon.” But he has every intention of seeing all the episodes in due time.

Dinklage said in an interview with “Entertainment Tonight,” “I haven’t seen it yet. I just did that show for a really long time. And I watched some other stuff. [But] I intend to, definitely. I heard it’s really good.”

Recently, Dinklage has been keeping himself occupied by lending his voice to the nasty character Scourge in the forthcoming film “Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.” While he didn’t go on location with the rest of the actors, he enjoyed working on his voice performance in isolation. This gave him the opportunity to experiment with subtler tones and rely less on his typical acting tactics.

Actor Peter Dinklage said, “That’s part of the fun of doing a movie like this. With the vocal performances, all you have is the voice, so you really rely on finding the nuance. With Steven [Caple Jr.], our director—who is incredible—he guided me through the whole thing while I’m in my lonely sound booth. I was in the flat iron district while everybody else was on set in Peru!

Fans anxiously anticipate Dinklage’s future ventures, on and off the screen, as he pursues new projects and takes a well-deserved sabbatical from the Seven Kingdoms.
