On March 4, disaster hit when Flo Rida’s son, Zohar Dillard, age six, plummeted from the fifth floor of the family’s Jersey City residence. Zohar, who is handicapped, was seriously injured. He broke his femur, fractured his left metatarsals, lanced his liver (Grade 3), gushed internally, and ruptured both of his lungs. Alexis Adams, Zohar’s mother, submitted a complaint this week alleging that Flo Rida has violated a 2018 child support arrangement by failing to pay for Zohar’s hospital expenses and health insurance. Adams disclosed that Flo Rida has failed to pay child support for Zohar’s healthcare and schooling. According to legal documents, Flo Rida was ordered to pay $9,000 per month in child support in addition to covering the entire expense of Zohar’s schooling and health insurance. Adams has spent tens of thousands on legal counsel to submit petitions with the court demanding an explanation from Flo Rida for the nonpayment or a contempt of court finding. Zohar’s school has also contacted Flo Rida and Adams via email to collect fees. Even after Flo Rida won an enormous $82.6 million judgment against energy drink firm Celsius in early 2023, the claimed absence of funds has persisted. Adams said, “I’d be really impressed if you complied with our child support order and got Zohar back on his health insurance and started acting like a real family man and father to our son.” Adams is thankful that Zohar has survived the accident and is still fighting despite the court struggle. According to Flo Rida’s latest Instagram update, Zohar is in excellent medical treatment right now. A court date has not been scheduled, but a judge will have to decide whether or not Flo Rida is responsible for Zohar’s school costs and missed payments.
