Sylvester Stallone, who co-starred with Weathers in the first four Rocky films, shared his heartfelt grief on Instagram at this heart-wrenching news.

In a video published, Stallone expressed the profound impact that Carl Weathers with the caption:

“We lost a legend yesterday. My life was forever changed for the better the day I met Carl Weathers. Rest in power and keep punching.”

In the emotional video, Stallone said,

"Today is an incredibly sad day for me. I'm so torn up I can't even tell you. I'm just trying to hold it in, because Carl Weathers was such an intricate part of my life, my success. Everything about it. I give him incredible credit and kudos, because when he walked into that room and I saw him for the first time, I saw greatness, but I didn't realize how great. I never could've accomplished what we did with Rocky without him. He was absolutely brilliant. His voice, his size, his power, his athletic ability, but more importantly, his heart, his soul."

Stallone expressed deep sorrow over the loss, standing before a painting capturing a poignant moment in the ring with Apollo. He further expressed that, “it was probably the last moment we were ever in the ring together, and I’ll never forget it.” Carl Weathers “was magic. And I was so fortunate to be a part of his life. So, Apollo, keep punching.”
