Selena Gomez’s HBO Max cookery program, Selena + Chef, has received another Emmy nomination. The show has been acknowledged in the 2023 Daytime Emmy nominations for outstanding culinary series. It follows Gomez as she picks the brains of celebrity chefs to learn how to cook. Each episode of the show features a different charity to support in addition to teaching viewers a new dish; to date, the program has earned $400,000 for 26 charities. Gomez previously received a Primetime Emmy nomination for her work as an executive producer on the Hulu series Only Murders in the Building. This is her second nomination for an Emmy. Although the program was nominated for best comedy series, Gomez’s acting work was not recognized. She was passed over, and co-star Steve Martin expressed regret because he and the other members of the Only Murders crew know how important she is to the show’s success. The accolades for Selena + Chef are a thrilling accomplishment for Gomez and a testament to her many skills. She has shown her inventiveness and adaptability in new and intriguing ways as a singer, actress, and now host of a cookery show.
