Season 3 of Star Trek: Strange New World to start its production soon after the strike ends.

Will there be a season 3 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds?

In a recent interview with’s All Access podcast, Chris Fisher, the producing director of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, shared some updates about the show’s third season production.

Initially, the production of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 was all set to start in Toronto. Unfortunately, it had to be stopped due to strikes by WGA and SAG-AFTRA, which affected many Hollywood shows.

Fisher mentioned that he was about to direct the first episode of season 3. He had even planned out the entire episode with storyboards. They were just one day away from bringing the actors to start filming, but then the situation got beyond his control.

He explained that even though writing and production couldn’t begin during the strikes, the team was still preparing amidst strikes. Fisher and his colleagues are making sure that they are fully ready to start working on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 as soon as the strikes are over.

Fisher went on to say that the show’s Season 3 will take even more risks than the previous one. Season 2 had a crossover with Star Trek: Lower Decks and even a musical episode, but Fisher finds these challenges exciting. He admitted to being nervous, especially since his boss is an Oscar-winning writer, but he believes that’s what makes the job so thrilling.

The exciting part is that production for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 will begin as soon as the strike ends. This is great news for fans eagerly awaiting to witness what the next chapter takes after the season 2 finale.
