Since it was first presented at CinemaCon a few weeks ago, have you been waiting patiently for the release of the trailer for The Meg 2: The Trench? Finally, the long-awaited release has arrived, and it does not disappoint. Starting with a Megalodon devouring a T-Rex, the clip only increases in tension from there. There’s constant mayhem and the monsters are really eerie. Jason Statham reprises his role as rescue diver Jonas Taylor, this time accompanied by Wu Jing on a scientific mission to the ocean’s depths. A hostile mining operation, however, threatens their very life, forcing them to race against Megs and environmental plunderers to complete their goal. The fact that Ben Wheatley, whose films often induce chills down one’s spine, is behind the camera makes this sequel all the more intriguing. The Meg 2 is a major departure from his past work, being a high-budget summer blockbuster, and we can’t wait to see how he approaches this new genre. We expect nothing less than a home run from him. We are really impressed by the mayhem and action we see in the clip. Scary scenes of numerous Megs attacking beachgoers are shown. However, few people can resist a good thriller. We can’t wait for August 4th to see The Meg 2: The Trench, which is shaping out to be an excellent film
