Several Star Trek series, ranging from Picard to Lower Decks, may be seen on Paramount Plus right now. However, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is the only series that truly captures the spirit of the original Star Trek. The first season of Strange New Worlds is now available for free on YouTube, perfect timing for the upcoming second season, which will even have a crossover with Lower Decks, and fans anxious to dive into the exploits of Captain Christopher Pike and his crew.

We go back in time to before James T. Kirk took command of the USS Enterprise in this prequel to the first Star Trek series, Strange New Worlds. Strange New Worlds returns to the episodic storytelling style that made the Star Trek franchise so popular, in contrast to Star Trek: Picard’s attempt at a serialized format.

This method may not be in line with the current trend in television, but it worked wonderfully for the first season of the program, capturing the feel of classic Star Trek. Strange New Worlds succeeds in capturing the spirit and nostalgia of the original series, The Next Generation, and Deep Space Nine.

To promote the June 15 premiere of the second season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Paramount has decided to upload the whole first season to YouTube. Until June 30 at midnight (Pacific Time), fans may watch the complete first season for free on YouTube.

Now is the moment to dive into Strange New Worlds’ riveting first season if you’re looking for a throwback to the original Star Trek and eager to set off on an exciting new adventure with Captain Christopher Pike and his crew.
