Heartbreaking news to all Vampire Diaries lovers, as one of its spin-offs will be soon bidding farewell to Netflix.

Since 2009 The Vampire Diaries a supernatural horror is been setting high bars. As its popularity aroused, the show brought  four exciting spin-offs: “The Originals,” “Legacies,” “The Vampire Diaries: A Darker Truth,” and “The Originals: The Awakening.” When the CW network began wrapping up these series, the team made them available for streaming on Netflix.

Is the series The Originals leaving Netflix?

Last year in September, “The Vampire Diaries” left Netflix with all eight seasons. Now, it’s time for its Spin-off “The Originals,” to say goodbye as it is set to leave the streaming platform on the 6th of September.

With “The Originals” leaving, only one series from The Vampire Diaries Universe will remain on Netflix i.e. “Legacies,” which follows the adventures of Hope Mikaelson, the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson.

“The Originals,” tells the story of the Mikaelson siblings, a family of “original” vampires. They come back to New Orleans to reclaim the city they helped to build, and in doing so, later become intertwined in the city’s supernatural politics.

The series, starring Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Claire Holt, Phoebe Tonkin, and Charles Michael Davis, aired from 2013 to 2018 for five seasons.

Where can I watch the Originals 2023?

The Vampire Diaries is currently streaming in full on Max. Much like the revival of “The Vampire Diaries”  in regions such as Australia and India after its departure from Netflix, there’s a possibility that “The Originals” could similarly make its return to Max in the days to come.
